DON't ASSUME ANYONE NEEDS HELP IF THEY DON'T ASK

So, yesterday my school had a fire drill and we had to go to the foreshore (sports field) to line up in our classes which was fine. Then after around 5-10 minutes, the drill was finished so we had to go back to our classes,
There were big steps that I got up but I had to use my hands and then go on the floor to get up. I admit that it looked like I was struggling but I wasn't. Two teachers saw me and went to try and help me WITHOUT giving me at least a few seconds to get up. I didn't want them to but I didn't get a choice or any time to get up, I know that they were just trying to be kind but it was VERY annoying. I didn't say that I didn't want them to help me because I didn't know how (but I did say I was fine, but that was all). I just really wanted to say I will ask for help until then DON'T ASSUME I NEED HELP. I am aware that could sound rude but I mean it in not a rude way It's just what I wanted to say to them.
I hope you guys can relate to this blog and if you can let me know.
See you in my next blog

Charli you have such great advice for all of us. Thanks for giving us a better perspective on life and the importance of recognising everyone's abilities and honouring them.
Thanks Charli for being courageous and speaking up for yourself. That's such a good reminder to always offer help and allow time for the person to choose if they want help or not x
Thank you again for another important post. I wonder if you'd like to chat with the teachers about this? I would be happy to help you practice what you could say?
